Relisted!!! SOLD!!! $3,375
One day left! Here’s your chance, bidding is up to $2025.
(9/29/10) Did not sell at $2,325.00. Look for it again soon! This is Gilera’s first production bike. They began building them in 1949. They were eventually upgraded to 150cc sometime around 1953. Top speed for the 125 is 53mph with three gears! The area around the Gilera logo on the tank is supposed to be chrome. It looks to be pitted from the distant pix,but a little steel wool?
This 1951 Gilera is on eBay,for sale by a well-known Tarzana,CA-based collector. I have a very soft spot for Gileras, and next to Parillas,Guzzis and Mondials they represent the real cream of small-bore Italian bikes that permeated the 50s. These bikes represent a premium investment and great fun. The blade-type forks on this particular patina-ed Gilera are just too cool
Owner describes the bike as a good running 4 stroke,3 speed. All there, new tires and nice rims. Current bid is $1891.00 with little more than a day left. This is a SWEET BIKE.
