This 2008 Ducati 1098 comes from the second year of production and shows just 141 miles. Finished in yellow over a gunmetal trellis frame, the bike has resided in a private collection for the past 11 years. Factory features include Marchesini wheels, Brembo brakes, Showa suspension, and more as outlined below. Power is provided by a 1,099cc desmodromic L-twin paired with a 6-speed gearbox, and a fluid change and tune-up were performed in 2016. This 1098 is now offered with both keys, the passenger seat, manuals, service records, and a clean Manitoba registration in the seller’s name.
Released in 2007 as a replacement for the 999 model, the 1098 features styling influenced by the Ducati 916. It is equipped with twin horizontal headlights, an under-seat twin exhaust, and a single-sided swingarm.
Close-ups of the yellow fairing, fuel tank, and tail section are provided in the gallery below. The factory side mirrors, turn indicators, and license plate holder remain installed. The base model received Showa suspension and Brembo brakes.
The Y-spoke Marchesini wheels come wrapped the original Pirelli tires. Note the factory paint marks on the chain, swingarm, and sprocket.
Instrumentation includes a multifunction digital display showing just 227 kilometers (141 miles).
The 1,099 L-twin was rated for 160 horsepower in stock trim and came equipped with a stainless exhaust system from the factory. A new set of spark plugs was installed in 2016, and the fluids were also changed. Power is routed through a dry clutch and a 6-speed gearbox. Service records accompany the sale along with manuals, keys, and the passenger seat.
