This 1975 Rickman Kawasaki CR900 has been with the seller since 2003 and was refurbished over the last 10 years. The bike is powered by a Z 903cc inline-four with a 5-speed gearbox, and features a 1,015cc big-bore kit, Yoshimura cams, Mikuni VM29 carburetors, and a NOS Kerker 4-into-1 exhaust. Additional components include refinished bodywork, stainless-spoked Borrani wire wheels built by Buchanan Spoke & Rim, Koni shocks, and a rebuilt Kawasaki gauge cluster. This CR900 is offered with a set of original swingarm pivot adjusters and a clean Georgia title in the seller’s name. The Rickman CR kit included a fiberglass 3/4 fairing, tank, fender, and tail section which have been refinished in Kawasaki Lime Green. The seller points out the originality of the nickel plating on the Rickman-built Chromoly frame as well as the chain guard, and bell crank shifter. Stainless steel hardware was used during the refurbishment, and the fuel tank was treated with Caswell sealant. The upper front fairing has been signed by Derek Rickman and is equipped with an 8-hole Gustafsson windscreen as well as a Cibie H4 headlight. Buchanan’s Spoke & Rim in Azusa, California rebuilt the Borrani wheels with soda-blasted stainless spokes to emulate the zinc-plated originals. Period-style reproduction Dunlop K81 TT100 tires are fitted at each end. The steering head bearings and wheel bushing have been replaced. New cables for the controls and speedometer were sourced from Motion Pro. The stock gauge pod was rebuilt with new gauge faces, at which point the odometer was reset to zero. Approximately 300 miles have reportedly been added by the seller. The Z 903cc inline-four is said to be from 1976 and stamped Z1E 106121. The engine has been enlarged to 1,015cc and features period-style aftermarket components including Yoshimura R grind camshafts, Mikuni VM29 Smoothbore carburetors behind screened velocity stacks, and a NOS Kerker 4-into-1 exhaust with a raised logo. A Hayden oil cooler and Dyna ignition have also been added. The motorcycle is being sold on a clear Georgia title assigned to the frame (4786M) and lists the model as 1975 Rickman CR900.
