This 1960 Harley Davidson FLHF Duo-Glide was cosmetically refurbished in the 1990s and was purchased three years ago by the seller, who reportedly went on to rebuild its 74ci Panhead V-twin and foot-shifted 4-speed transmission. Additional work included installation of a new clutch, electric starter, forks, and tires as well as a brake rebuild and 12-volt electrical conversion. Approximately 500 miles have been added under current ownership. This Duo-Glide Panhead is offered with recent records and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name. The tank and fenders are finished in black with red accents, and a skirted saddle seat is fitted. The bike wears several accessories including a windscreen, spotlights, crash bars, hard bags, and a tail rack. Chrome 16″ wire-spoke wheels are mounted with whitewall tires. Period-style turn signals are fitted along with front and rear bumpers, fender accents, and fish tail exhaust pipes. “Duo-Glide” referred to the dual rear shocks introduced in 1958, which are joined by hydraulically-dampened forks up front. The tank-mounted 120-mph speedometer houses a 5-digit odometer showing just under 8,800 miles, with total mileage unknown. Warning lights are provided for oil pressure, generator function, and high beam status. The 74ci overhead-valve Panhead V-twin produced 60 horsepower in stock form and is coupled to a 4-speed foot-shift transmission. The seller reportedly rebuilt the engine and transmission, replaced the clutch, performed a 12-volt electrical conversion, and fitted an electric starter within the past three years. The removed kick starter and 6-volt electrical parts are included in the sale.
