This 1973 Moto Guzzi Eldorado 850 is said to have resided in California before coming to Portland, Oregon with its previous owner of more than 25 years in the late 1980s. The bike is powered by an 844cc V-twin backed by a 5-speed transmission and shaft drive, finished in red and white, and equipped with hardshell panniers and a Hella H4 headlight. A 2017 dealer service included a valve adjustment and oil change as well as fitment of a new battery, spark plugs, and distributor cap. This Eldorado is offered by the selling dealer with service manuals, a tool kit, and a clean Oregon title. The bike features a red and white paint scheme over fiberglass side covers and an aluminum fuel tank, the latter of which is noted as discolored. Pinstriping is present on the fenders, hardshell panniers, and fuel tank. The seller describes evidence of paintwork on the front fender, which shows chipping as seen in the gallery below. Borrani 18″ wire wheels feature aluminum rims and are mounted with a set of Dunlop tires. A Hella H4 lamp fitted in a stock housing, while additional factory lighting is supplemented with a pair of pannier-mounted running lights. A black dual-passenger seat and a set of Yamaha mirrors are fitted. Factory instrumentation includes a 160 mph speedometer, a tachometer with 6,500 rpm redline, and a 5-digit odometer showing approximately 24,600 miles. The neutral indicator light was repaired by a Moto Guzzi dealer in 2017. The 844cc V-twin was based on the preceding Ambassador engine and sends power to the rear wheel via a 5-speed manual transmission and shaft drive. The bike was serviced by a Portland-area Moto Guzzi dealer in 2017 with a valve adjustment and oil change as well as a new battery, spark plugs, and distributor cap. Three service books and an owner’s manual are included in the sale along with Moto Guzzi-branded tools in a green canvas pouch. A walkaround video is viewable below.
