This 1985 Honda CB650-SC Nighthawk is powered by a 655cc DOHC 4-cylinder with a 6-speed transmission and shaft drive. The bike was purchased by the current owner in 2018, and work since has included recovering the seat and replacement of the grips along with a tune up, new spark plugs, a carburetor cleaning, and an oil change performed by the seller. Just over 20k miles are shown, of which the current owner has added approximately 1,000. This Nighthawk is being offered on consignment at no reserve by the selling dealer with the owner’s manual, factory tool kit, and a clean Wisconsin title.
Finished in Candy Scorpio Red, the steel fuel tank is reported to have a ding on the left side. The seat has been reupholstered with a Travelcade seat cover, and the handlebar grips have been replaced with new replicas. The brake light reflector is cracked and was repaired with adhesive by a previous owner.
The factory 4-into-2 exhaust remains fitted, and the plastic front fender is noted to show white spots in the paint. Braking is provided by hydraulically-operated dual front discs with a single drum brake on the rear wheel. Cast alloy wheels wear Continental Conti Blitz tires.
A rectangular instrument cluster contains a 140-mph speedometer and a 10k-rpm tachometer backed by a grid pattern. A digital fuel gauge and gear indicator separate the gauges. 20k miles are shown on the 5-digit odometer.
The DOHC 4-cylinder was factory-rated at 65 horsepower and features four 29mm Keihin CV carburetors. A 6-speed transmission with a hydraulic clutch powers the rear wheel via shaft drive. The selling dealer performed a tune up this year consisting of a carburetor cleaning, new spark plugs, and an oil and filter change. The owner’s manual and factory toolkit will be included in the sale.
