This 2008 Ducati Monster S4R S is #158 of 400 Tricolore editions produced and is powered by a 996cc Testastretta L-twin mated to a 6-speed transmission. Finished in Italy’s national colors of red, white, and green, Tricolore Monsters came equipped from the factory with carbon fiber trim, Brembo brakes, adjustable Öhlins suspension, Marchesini wheels, and a stainless steel Termignoni exhaust. Acquired by the seller in 2010, this example shows just 2,150 miles and is now being sold at no reserve with a Ducati jacket, bike stand, spare seat, and a clean Oklahoma title in the seller’s name.
Built upon a Fabio Taglioni-designed tubular steel trellis frame, this Monster is finished in Tricolore-specific red, white, and green. The factory Öhlins suspension includes a titanium nitride-plated front fork and a vertical coilover for the single-sided aluminum rear swingarm.
17″ 10-spoke Marchesini wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The braking system consists of Brembo P34 calipers grabbing twin 320mm-diameter discs up front and a singe disc out back.
The solo seat features an integrated fairing and is trimmed in black. An additional fully-padded seat is included in the sale. The bike retains a factory rear taillight and fender assembly, which also incorporates turn signals and a license plate mount.
Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, 11k-rpm tachometer, and a digital odometer showing 2,150 miles.
The liquid-cooled 996cc L-twin features Marelli electronic fuel injection, dual overhead camshafts, and four desmodromic valves per cylinder. The S4R S Testastretta engine produced 130 horsepower when new. The stainless steel Termignoni exhaust is fitted with carbon fiber silencers. The 6-speed gearbox features straight-cut gears and a hydraulic multi-plate dry clutch. Note the plaque on the engine side case identifying this bike as #158 of 400.
An extra large Ducati-branded leather jacket and bike stand are included in the sale along with the aforementioned seat.
