This 1984 Honda V65 Sabre was acquired by the selling dealer one month ago from the believed second owner. Powered by a DOHC 1,098cc liquid-cooled V-4 with a 6-speed transmission, the bike features anti-dive forks and 3-way adjustable handlebars. 20k miles are currently shown, and the seller recently replaced the spark plugs and performed an engine oil change. This Sabre is offered by the selling dealer at no reserve with the owner’s manual, tool kit, and a clean Wisconsin title.
Produced primarily for the American market, the V65 Sabre was developed as a sport-tourer for quickly traversing long distances. The bike is finished in silver and black with red striping, and the seller notes the factory applied warning decal on the fuel tank shows wear. The right-side passenger grab bar also has a crack in the covering.
The front end is equipped with air adjustable-forks with Honda’s patented anti-dive “Trac” system. Braking is provided by dual discs with 2-piston calipers. The rear is fitted with a Pro-Link suspension and a single disc brake. Cast alloy wheels wear older Dunlop tires.
The instrument cluster contains a 160-mph speedometer, an 11k-rpm tachometer, and LCD indicators for fuel level, temperature, and gear position. Three-way adjustable handlebars adjust for height, spread, and reach.
The 1,098cc V-4 was factory-rated at 121 horsepower and features four valves per cylinder, double overhead cams, and liquid-cooling. A 6-speed transmission with shaft drive transfers the power to the rear wheel. The selling dealer recently changed the oil and replaced the spark plugs in preparation for sale. A walk around video with the engine running can be seen below.
