This 1975 Honda CB750 is finished in Planet Blue Metallic, and power comes from a modified SOHC inline-four mated to a 5-speed transmission. The bike previously spent time in Florida and was acquired by the seller in 2014 from the believed second owner. Work since purchase included an engine reseal with new gaskets, a rebuild of the carburetors, and the replacement of the steering head bearings, swing arm bushings, exhaust system, and more as described below. This CB750 is now offered with various spares, service records, two keys, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.
Finished in Planet Blue Metallic, and the seller notes the side covers have been re-painted but now show chips and a crack. The chrome rear fender shows pitting, and surface corrosion can be seen on some fasteners. The right side mirror is noted to have a cloudy spot, and the lenses of both gauges have scratches. The horn and tail light are replacement items, and the Dunlop tires were fitted in 2017.
The wheel bearings, steering head bearings, and swing arm bushings, were replaced, and the front brakes were rebuilt with new pads and brake lines. A replacement battery and neutral switch were also added.
The instrument cluster contains a 150-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an 8k rpm redline. The handlebars, grips, control cables, and levers are replacement items. Approximately 5,300 miles are shown on the odometer, just under 300 of which have been added by the seller.
The air-cooled inline-four is said to have been modified with a big-bore 836cc kit and a high-performance camshaft, resulting in a reported output of 75 horsepower. Work under current ownership has included a re-seal of the engine, a carburetor rebuild, and replacement of the clutch discs and stator. An aftermarket oil cooler was removed, and a Kerker exhaust was replaced with an factory 4-pipe system with heat shields.
Records from the seller’s ownership will accompany the sale, along with spares including a factory tool kit, OEM grips, baffles, a seat, rear fender, and the removed Kerker exhaust.
