This 1982 Honda CB650SC Nighthawk was recently acquired by the selling dealer from the believed third owner. Powered by a 626cc SOHC 4-cylinder with a 5-speed transmission, the bike is a one-year-only model with a single cam and chain drive. The tires, battery, and chain were recently replaced by the seller, and the seat cover, grips, and mirrors replaced under previous ownership. 16k miles are currently shown, of which the seller has added approximately 50. This Nighthawk is offered by the selling dealer at no reserve with a factory tool kit and a clean Pennsylvania title.
The Nighthawk was the successor to the CB650 Custom, and this example is finished in Candy Flair Blue with chrome striping. The seller notes that paint chips are visible on the fuel tank, and corrosion can be seen on the center stand, kick stand, and passenger pegs. A replica seat cover and hand grips are fitted, and the mirrors are aftermarket items.
Features include a 4-into-4 exhaust, adjustable shocks, and air assisted forks. A new drive chain is fitted, and the Comstar wheels wear new tires.
Instrumentation consists of an 85-mph speedometer and a 10k-rpm tachometer with a centrally-mounted odometer. 16k miles are currently shown.
This first year Nighthawk was unique with a 626cc SOHC 4-cylinder engine, 5-speed transmission, and chain drive. The engine was factory rated at 62 horsepower and features include four 26mm Keihin carburetors and an electronic ignition. No service records are available, but the seller performed a mechanical inspection, added a new battery and spark plugs, and changed the oil. A walk-around video with the bike running can be seen below.
