This 1977 Honda CB550K was recently acquired by the selling dealer from the believed third owner. The bike is powered by a 544cc SOHC 4-cylinder with a 5-speed transmission, and the seller recently performed a tune-up with a carburetor rebuild and adjustments to the cam chain, valves, and ignition timing. A new ignition switch was also fitted, and the battery, chain, and seat cover were replaced. 12k miles are currently shown, of which the seller has added approximately 50. This CB550 is offered by the selling dealer at no reserve with the owner’s manual, factory tool kit, and a clean Wisconsin title.
Finished in Excel Black with red and gold striping, the bike features a 4-into-4 exhaust and a replica seat cover and hand grips. The right side cover noted to have holes for a zip tie to hold it in place, and the lower fork tubes show oxidation to the aluminum finish. Chrome wire spoke wheels wear tires that are believed to be 3 or 4 years old.
The instrument cluster contains a 150-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 9k-rpm red line. The face of the tachometer appears faded, and the seller notes a replacement ignition switch has been fitted. Just under 13k miles are shown on the odometer.
The 544cc SOHC 4-cylinder was rated at 50 horsepower when new and is coupled with a 5-speed transmission. The seller recently rebuilt the carburetors with new seals and performed a tune up consisting of new spark plugs, an oil change, and adjustments to the cam chain tensioner, valves, and ignition timing. The drive chain and battery were also replaced, but no previous service records are available. A walk-around video can be seen below.
