This 1968 Honda SS125A is powered by a 124cc SOHC twin paired with a 4-speed transmission and was acquired by the seller three months ago. A refurbishment was reportedly performed under previous ownership in 2017, with work including a repaint and the replacement of the speedometer and mufflers. 742 miles have been added since the work was completed, and the seller recently performed an oil change. This SS125 is now offered at no reserve with the owner’s manual, a bill of sale, and a transferable New Hampshire registration.
The SS125 was produced for only two years and featured a pressed steel frame, 6 volt electrics, a 2.2 gallon fuel tank, and a dry weight of only 231 pounds. Finished in blue with silver bodywork, this bike received a cosmetic refurbishment in 2017 with fresh paint and replica mufflers. Chrome 17 inch wire-spoke wheels wear Michelin tires.
The headlight shell contains a 100-mph speedometer that was replaced during the refurbishment. The odometer is believed to have been set to zero when installed and 742 miles are currently shown.
The SOHC 124cc twin features a single Keihin carburetor and produced 13 horsepower when new. Power is sent to the rear wheel via chain drive and a 4-speed transmission with both electric and kick start. The seller recently performed an oil change.
No service records are available, but a copy of the owner’s manual will be included.
