This 1965 Honda CT200 is a refurbished example which has been repainted in its original yellow and fitted with a new replacement 125cc Lifan single-cylinder engine, a four-speed manual transmission, modern controls, a 12-volt electrical system, LED lighting, and other modifications. The bike was acquired by the seller in September 2019, reportedly from its second owner in Oregon who performed the majority of the work. This CT200 is offered with engine paperwork and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name.
The bike was stripped and repainted in its correct Summer Yellow as part of the rebuild according to the seller, and removable components were also repainted or polished. Images of the frame in its torn-down state can be seen in the gallery below.
The wheel rims were powder-coated in black, while their factory spokes were replaced with larger 3mm chrome versions. Shinko Golden Boy tires measure 21″x2.75″ and show 2018 date codes. The bike is equipped with a single seat and a chrome luggage rack.
Wider replacement handlebars are fitted with new switches, grips, cables, and connectors. Images of the hand controls for the custom throttle setup and clutch lever for the manual transmission can be viewed in the gallery. The five-digit odometer shows just under 1,400 miles, including 10 ridden by the seller since September 2019. Total mileage is unknown.
A new 125cc Lifan single and a four-speed manual transmission have replaced the stock 90cc engine and clutchless transmission. Paperwork detailing engine displacement and date of manufacture is included in the sale. A video showing a cold start, operation of the controls, and riding footage is provided below.
