This 2017 KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition is the 124th of 200 450cc Factory Edition bikes built for 2017, and carries KTM-Red Bull livery like that used on 2017 AMA Supercross Champion Ryan Dungey’s factory bike. Dungey retired at the close of the 2017 AMA season having won 80 AMA events and four championships. Factory Edition bikes featured a 449cc single-cylinder engine with a 5-speed transmission, as well as traction control, launch control, a titanium Akrapovic exhaust, D.I.D. DirtStar wheels, Brembo brakes, a Selle Dalla Valle gripper seat, and more detailed in the listing. The bike now shows 10.9 hours, and the selling dealer recently acquired it from the original owner. This KTM is not street legal and is now offered with factory literature and a clean Michigan title.
The SX-F features a lightweight chrome-moly steel frame and KTM orange and white plastics with Red Bull and Motorex graphics. Total weight was 217 pounds, and the bike is equipped with a Selle Dalla Valle gripper seat.
The 21″ front and 19″ rear wheels feature stainless spokes and D.I.D. DirtStar rims and are fitted with Dunlop Geomax tires. Braking is handled by Brembo calipers with floating discs, and the suspension incorporates WP AER 48 front forks and a rear coilover shock assembly.
ODI soft half-waffle grips are mounted to Neken aluminum handlebars, and handlebar mounted switchgear for the traction control, launch control, and throttle mapping are pictured in the gallery. The sole instrument is a digital display with the hour meter. 10.9 hours are shown, 3.3 of which were added by the selling dealer.
Power is provided by a 449cc four-stoke single, which sends drive rearward via a 5-speed transmission with chain primary drive. Factory rated output was 58 horsepower. The powerplant in the Factory Edition reportedly shaves off four pounds compared to other 450-powered models, and unique equipment includes a titanium Akrapovic exhaust and a multi-disc DDS wet clutch. The seller reports that the bike has received two oil changes and an air filter change.
The owner’s binder includes the factory manuals, information paperwork, tools, pen, and stickers. A walkaround video is viewable below.
