Electrical Diagram/Schema

This electrical Diagram was sent to me by a friend in the Parilla Yahoo Group:

Parilla Hi Cam Wiring Diagram

notes

  • Points-to-coil connection goes to "negative" side of coil.
  • I use a red/black wire for the "51" to "30" connection.
  • I use bare connectors and with strong crimped mechanical connections, then heat-shrink over the top.
  • I connect the three tail-lights together and join them under the seat with a soldered and crimped connection, covered by a few layers of heat-shrink tubing to seal. I can disconnect them later if I wish to add turn signals.
  • For the headlight switch I'm using a slightly different Aprilia unit that contains a "flash" or "passing" spring-loaded switch.
  • The brake light switch isn't pictured. I connect it to "58" and run white wires. The switch connects to the largest bulb in the tail-light cluster.

Ignition Switch detail

detail for ignition switch -- there are some issues -- the blue wire goes to the battery, it should be a bigger wire and not doubled. The Yellow wires run to the back of the bike and are connected together. See above diagram for correct wiring (?). Note wire colors

DIN standard 72 552
