Do you know about a great vintage motorcycle or classic scooter for sale that some like-minded individual should own? Do you need to sell your vintage bike and want to find a wide audience? Or did you find a great ad on a really rare motorcycle on eBay,Craigslist or your favorite forum? Please send it to us so we can feature it here on ChasingMotorcycles.com. This site will only become better with your submissions and input.
“How can I get my submission included on ChasingMotorcycles?“
You can increase the chances of getting on ChasingMotorcycles if you agree to give it to us first for a couple of weeks. It’s free for now while we build up our user base and content. We’re pretty picky about what goes in and we have our arbitrary “is it cool”test.
“So I found this rat bike in a{barn,on Craigslist, ebay …}”:
To get it on ChasingMotorcycles, send us the link. Your chances are increased if you have some comments, and we definitely need pictures. If there’s no pictures at the end of the link or you haven’t supplied any from your killer barn find motorcycle,we really can’t help you out. If you’re going to an auction, send us a picture of anything that’s interesting. If the bike is sold, please feel free to follow up and let us know!
Here’s our priorities for posting:
1. It has to have that certain something about it. Trailer Queens, choppers and clown rides should go elsewhere. We’re into bikes that are ridden, have period mods or something really special about them. We like the Cafe Racers,Harley K models, sweet old Vespa SS180 Scooters and a great old Japanese standard that nobody sees very often. Got a sweet airhead? How about a Lambretta with a sidecar? Now you’re talking!
2. Realistic prices get posted. Remember,we allow comments on all our posts. If the price isn’t realistic,we’ll all get an ear full about it in no time!
3. Great photography means something. Channel Jesse Alexander and send us some great shots that are around 600px on their long side.
4. Show us how much you know. Details about the particular motorcycle or vintage scooter, plus anything we might want to know about the particular make and model in general. Personal, honest comments make for very interesting reading. Keep it clean (kids read here!) honest and fun,and we’ll all have a great time.
The inevitable disclaimer:
ChasingMotorcycles.com is dedicated to showing interesting advertisements by third parties, for the benefit and entertainment of it’s readers and subscribers. ChasingMotorcycles.com in no way warrants or guarantees the accuracy of any advertisement placed within, and makes no guarantees as to the quality or any claim made by the owner/advertiser of the item. In other words,we show them, comment on them and enjoy the pretty pictures, but it’s not our stuff so we only know as much as anyone. The eventual buyer should beware —there are good and bad people out there,we’re just trying to find the good ones as much as possible.
